It’s been another less-than-vintage season for Arsenal so far, hasn’t it?

While the Gunners are already guaranteed a place in the last-32 of the Europa League, they’re already well behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

The Gunners are currently sixth in the standings, a massive 12 points behind the leaders.

And while summer signing Alexandre Lacazette has seemingly found his feet at the Emirates (when Arsene Wenger decides to play him, that is) there’s been the usual inconsistency from a number of first-team stalwarts.

And ahead of this weekend’s North London derby, it seems one man in particular holds a fairly unwanted record for a central midfielder.

Despite this, the 25-year-old is Wenger’s go-to guy at the moment, having started all 11 of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season.

And he’ll likely make it 12 against arch-rivals Tottenham on Saturday.

After a fairly stop-start beginning to his Arsenal career following his big-money move from Germany last year, Xhaka has seemingly established himself as a regular in the side, having started 24 consecutive Premier League games stretching back to last season.

On a brighter note, he’s notched the club’s joint-most assists this season, but has yet to find the back of the net.

You win some, you lose some, eh?
