It’s all gone a bit wrong for Atletico in the opening minutes of their Europa League semi-final clash at Arsenal.
The Gunners have dominated the early exchanges, going close with a couple of chances courtesy of Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck.
In fact, if Jan Oblak wasn’t one of the best goalkeepers on the planet, Arsenal would definitely be 1-0 up by now.

Atleti’s right-back received a yellow-card thanks to a careless challenge on Jack Wilshere with basically his first touch of the game, and was then shown a second yellow just minutes later for a 50/50 challenge on Lacazette.
It was pretty dumb, if you ask me.
Still, Diego Simeone wasn’t too pleased with the decision and could be seen berating the referee from his dugout.
Simeone’s a pretty scary looking guy, with his Eraserhead hairstyle and all-black attire.
But the ref wasn’t rattled, and decided to send the loud-mouthed Argentinian to the stands.

Totally the right decision too.
Simeone was adamant Hector Bellerin deserved a booking for a foul on one of his players, but the referee was having none of it and told him to take a hike.
It’s all kicking off here and we’re loving it.
