Arsenal fans are convinced that Unai Emery is going to win them the league after an emphatic pre-season win

Here we go again.

Arsenal started the new era under Unai Emery as they kicked-off their pre-season schedule by beating Boreham Wood in a friendly.

The Gunners steamrolled their London opponents at a sun-drenched Meadow Park, winning 8-0 and looking in impressive shape ahead of the new season.

Good result, lads.

There’s no need to get carried away though, it’s only pre-season, right?

Wrong.

Arsenal are destined to win the Premier League now because of that result. That’s the line according to Gunners fans anyway.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a 16-minute hat-trick in the win, which has really made everyone go a bit crazy.

We all know that the Gabon striker is a clinical finisher, but did he really have to tease Arsenal fans like that?

There will be cries of #AubameyangOut if he doesn’t score every game now…

The former Borussia Dortmund man was joined on the score-sheet by his strike partner Alexandre Lacazette, as the pair’s link-up whetted the appetites of fans.

Youngsters Reiss Nelson and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, along with the experienced Henrikh Mkhitarayn, all scored in the rout too.

Arsenal fans have been teased by impressive pre-seasons in the past, before the season fades away into nothing and misery follows.

This time however, under new management, they are all convinced it’s going to be a different story.
