It’s not the end of the world, is it?

Even if we lose this, England will play Colombia in the next round and face a ‘simpler’ route to World Cup glory.

It’s coming home either way.

But the best thing about Adnan Januzaj’s goal wasn’t the way he sat Danny Rose down with a beautifully executed piece of skill.

Nor the way he arrowed a left-footed shot past Jordan Pickford into the England net.

But the way Michy Batshuayi got involved in the celebrations – nearly knocking himself out.

Can’t stop thosePA:Press Association

Batshuayi, who recovered from an injury just in time to make it to Russia, collected the ball as it rolled out of the net and turned to run away with his teammates.

But before he left the goalmouth he smashed the ball against one of the posts in sheer delight.

What he didn’t expect was to see the ball coming straight back at him at 100mph.

Connecting directly with his smiling chops.

A small moment of glory for any England fans out there.

To be fair Twitter absolutely loved it too…

@SkyBet odds on Batshuayi doing a cringey tweet about him booting the ball at the post and it hitting him in the face?

So everyone else saw Batshuayi pick the ball up after the goal and kick it against the post to smash him back in the face πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ #EnglandvBelgium #ENGBEL #WorldCup
