Was this the best comeback in the history of football?

Forget Istanbul, in the heart of Warwickshire last night, there was a bigger comeback than Christ himself.

Halesowen Town looked dead and buried by the 60th minute, 7-2 down away from home.

Not to be downhearted, they kept on plucking and entering a lengthy period of added time, they were 8-7 down.

Step up Emlyn Tudgay, the striker scored twice in added time, the later goal coming in the 96th minute.

The Liberty Way stadium was left in shock as the away side got the all-important victory in the second round of qualification for the FA Youth Cup.

Nuneaton Borough led 7-2 in the FA Youth Cup tonight with 30 minutes left, but Halesowen came back and won 9-8. Surely the greatest turnaround of all time ?

The 86 people in attendance certainly got their moneys worth with nine scorers and 17 goals over the 90 minutes.

Halesowen march on, Nuneaton will be left scratching their heads after possibly the biggest meltdown in sporting history.
