Nemanja Matic’s late wonderstrike shows Paul Pogba exactly how it’s done

Tik a bow, son.

This was the perfect way to end one of the most exciting games of the season.

Crystal Palace stormed to a 2-0 lead with a goal on either side of half time which left Man United asking some serious questions of themselves.

Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba came in for some heavy fire after their first half performance and rightly so.

After a poor display in the first 45 Twitter was rife with anger as Jose Mourinho’s defensive approach riled the fans.

However they will not be complaining now.

United’s comeback from two goals down was capped with a Nemanja Matic wonderstrike to win it for the Red Devils in added time.

Chris Smalling headed in Antonio Valencia’s cross after half time to pull one back before Romelu Lukaku scored his fourth goal in four games to equalise.

The Belgian timed it perfectly as he slid his shot through a crowd of Palace players after Sanchez’s shot came back off the bar.

But the ending of this game was about United Serbian midfield destroyer.

Pogba tried to curl one in from the edge of the area but it was blocked and rebounded towards Matic.

He took one touch and then arrowed a left-footed volley past the despairing Wayne Henessey in the Palace net to score his first goal for United.

It saved Jose Mourinho’s blushes of seeing United lost their third league match in a row but as per usual the win was down to another David De Gea super save at 2-0.
